"Play the Game" Not Set in Mayberry
08/26/09, East Hartford
Thirty-nine year old writer-director Marc Fienberg has produced an independent film called "Play the Game," which stars Andy Griffith, Doris Roberts and Liz Sheridan.
This film is a comedy about romance which is sought out and then found by people 65 and over.
Way over.
Andy Griffith, now 83, turns out not only to be funny, but helps the producer convey his story about senior sexuality in a way that helps people of all ages understand that without companionship, we cannot fulfill our role as social creatures.
Griffith said, in an interview, that he liked his role primarily for two reasons; one, he had a bedroom scene. Two, he didn't die in the end.
Nobody dies in "Play the Game." They just live life to its fullest.
